An iPhone game you can play offline

Published October 27, 2026 · Kezify

In short

Knight Toss works without an internet connection: the 60-level campaign, Survival and Horde modes, and two-player duels on the same device all play on a plane, on the subway or with no signal. Only online duels, Game Center leaderboards and iCloud save backup need the internet; they sync when the connection comes back. The game is free, with no ads and no purchases.

What works with no connection?

ModeOffline
Campaign (12 chapters)Yes
Survival and HordeYes
Two-player duel on one deviceYes
Duel against Sir Bertrand (bot)Yes
Online duelNo, Game Center
Leaderboards and achievementsSent when you are back online

Why does it work offline?

The whole game ships inside the app: the art is drawn by code, and sounds and music are included. There is no server to reach and no ad to load, so nothing waits on the network. See also a free iPhone game with truly no ads.

Is my progress kept?

Yes, on the device, after every game. If you are signed in to iCloud, it is also backed up there as soon as you are online, and you get it back on another iPhone or iPad with the same Apple Account.

Good for a long trip?

Yes. Horde (an endless crowd) and Survival suit long journeys best: a game lasts as long as you hold.

Try the throw

Knight Toss is free on iPhone and iPad, with no ads and no in-app purchases. The demo plays in your browser.
